My mom has promised to teach me how to knit again...she tried to a few years ago and it really didn't work out all that well. It's a lot harder than it looks! Your history teacher sounds great! My AP Euro teacher always threatened to defenestrate disruptive students. In her class, we simulated an Enlightenment salon (Thomas Hobbes started choking during that one) and the Congress of Vienna (we created the nation of Frenglassia; she was fine with it as long as we didn’t write about it on the AP test).
