I watched Jeeves and Wooster with my family last night (minus the brother who has gone off to work with a family friend on a campsite in France for a month) and it was fabulous. Fry and Laurie just looked so young. Also - hilarious.

I had a ridiculously busy (extended) weekend. On Friday I had to go into school to fill out forms confirming that I've handed in all my library books, fill in a survey about the college (I wrote about how my tutor refused to believe that I had depression for ages, whilst my friend Nick explained just how patronising the tutor sessions were. We were however very polite. I'm slightly worried that I was too polite and they won't realise how critical I'm being). My tutor also asked us what we had been doing and what we planned to do next. To this Steph whispered to me, "quick, think up something plausible which isn't us getting drunk." Steph proceeded to talk about how she's going to spend weeks at an archaeological dig, which is pretty much her idea of heaven.

Also, on Friday, I had my Leavers Ball. I enjoyed it so much more than I thought I would, it was fab (that is one of my current favourite words, I think I'm harking back to Thunderbirds a tad). We got there exactly when they opened the doors. I like to think of this as "fashionably on time." It also meant that we got the most out of our ticket money. Also, there were dodgems. Dodgems! I never realised just quite how aggressive some of my friends were until we went on them. Vicious the lot of them. There was also this inflatable slide thing, which I only went down once (it was a tad difficult in my dress). It was good fun though, even if I did get a burn on my elbow from going down it. It was described as "quite possibly the least hardcore injury ever." I can now add "bouncy castle" to my list of really ridiculous things I have been injured by. Along with "baguette."

Saturday consisted of Village Sports Day (imagine school sports day, but for an entire village with various stalls, a produce show and considerably more alcohol). I was sadly unable to defend my ladies 15 to 19 title as I went to sleep as soon as I got back home (we had all slept over at my friend James' house after the ball for ease of transportations, and for most of the others, continued opportunities to drink) so missed it. Someone else won the title, which means someone else actually ran this year! I only won last time because no one else took part. Also, sports day do the best barbeque. Then, on Sunday my whole family drove down to near London so my Dad could play a reunion cricket match with his old team (again, I went for the food. Cricket teas are awesome). By Monday, I was exhausted.

I am going away on Thursday to Portugal with my friends for a week. I am rather excited and also rather nervous. My friends are incredibly organised though, so I think everything should be ok.

Also, I was tidying up all the school things I no longer need earlier today, and found a bunch of writing. I'm not entirely sure what half of it is about, although I can remember where I wrote most of it. I think I'm going to go through it all and type up some of it.

Phew, that ended up longer than I expected. :)
