Hello! This is my second year participating in festivids and I am super excited! I had such a wonderful time last year. As for what kind of vids I like, the answer is pretty much all of them. Being Human (UK)
I loved this show and it broke me. It will always have a place in my heart. I loved both the emotions of the show, it’s humour, and all of the main characters. And I am unashamedly still yelling about it in this the year 2022.
Campion (1989 TV)
I love a gentleman detective and his (ever so slightly disreputable) manservant. I am a sucker for murder mysteries and I think this adaptation is utterly delightful.
Dimension 20 (Web Series)
This show has given me something to look forward to over the past few years. I have watched all the series apart from Pirates of Leviathan and TUC2 and would love a vid about any of them! I love all the characters and the worlds and the humour and the stories.
Edgar Allan Poe's Murder Mystery Dinner Party (Web Series) [SAFETY]
You can watch all of this on youtube! Edgar Allan Poe hosts a murder mystery invite only casual dinner party/gala for friends potluck but wait, there's been a murder!
Kind Hearts and Coronets (1949) [SAFETY]
I love this film. Simple as. I love the sense of humour in it and Alec Guinness is a tour de force. Also: murder.
Les Aventures Extraordinaires d'Adele Blanc-Sec (2010) [SAFETY]
Sisters! Dinosaurs! Mummies! Oh my! This film is ridiculous and I am very fond of it.
Men's Pole Vault RPF [UMBRELLA]
This was a last minute nomination on my part of a thing I love but have never really considered consuming fanworks about. Pole Vault is my One True Sport. I am particularly fond of Armand Duplantis and Renaud Lavillenie and their incredibly supportive relationship.
North and South (UK TV 2004)
It’s all about the yearning. The yearning and the power of unions. (No more needs to be said imho)
The Mrs Bradley Mysteries (TV)
No one is more fabulous than Adela Bradley, whether she’s solving crime or not. Also I maintain that there was 100% something going on between her and George and I will not be dissuaded.
The Wheel of Time (TV)
I binged all of this series when it first came out and I was enchanted by the wonderful world and characters and their relationships (both romantic and non-romantic). Also I really love Moiraine.
