A rather spectacular display of heavy rain and hail has just finished, so have a meme!

1.How do you feel about the fast approaching "end" of Harry Potter, do you think it will really change anything at all for you?
To me, I think, the end of Harry Potter really came with the end of the books. I think I see the films as an extension of that, a way to make the happiness Harry Potter has given me last a bit longer. Also, I’m looking forward to it particularly, mainly because I now have a group of close friends who are equally excited to go see it together. I think the major difference between this and the end of the books is that I plan to celebrate it with others. My way of celebrating the end of the books was not reading Deathly Hallows at break neck speed, instead trying to enjoy it. It will be the end in a sense, simply because it’s been a massive part of my childhood. However, I know I’ll go back and reread them again and again, so in a sense it’s not quite the end.

2. So leaving school, I know it hasn't actually caused any sort of emotional breakdown in me (yet). What are your plans now and do you have any deep thoughts about growing up?
Oh, leaving school. Wow. My plans are to take a gap year out before I go to university, simply because I am not ready to go. I’m more ready now than I was when everyone at school was looking at options (when I kept having panic attacks about it), but I’m still not emotionally ready. I want to be able to enjoy uni, not force myself through it because I feel like I should. My current plans for what I’m going to do now are fairly vague. I’m hoping to do some volunteer work at a local museum though, and I’ve actually just started talking to the relevant people about that, and I also applied to volunteer at London 2012 but I have yet to hear about that. Eventually, when I feel ready, I want to study history at university, because it’s what I love. My thoughts about growing up mainly consist of fear. There are bits I’m looking forward to, but I find them much harder to identify than the things I’m scared of. The way I’ve been dealing with it is by thinking that just because I could do something doesn’t mean I have to.

3. If you had to make someone understand the epic that is River Song in a concise manner, how would you do so?
River Song is an adventurer in her own right, not just tagging along on the Doctor’s adventures. Also, she knows more than you, she will let you know that, but won’t tell you what she knows. Everything’s a game for her, but at the same time it’s equally as real for her as anyone else.

4. Any tv show/book recommendations for the summer ahead?
My tv recommendation is Lewis. I love that show like burning. There’s not masses of it, sadly, but it’s still awesome (in my opinion). It’s a murder mystery series set in Oxford, based on the Morse books by Colin Dexter. I find the murder plots interesting, but it’s the characters which I really love. They’re endearing and I find their interactions fascinating. As for books, I honestly don’t know. It feels like I haven’t read anything for my own pleasure in ages. A couple of my favourite series though are The Books of Pellinor by Alison Croggon and The Guardians of Time by Marianne Curley.

5. Do you cook at all? I want to try some more complex cooking than what I'm used to, any favorite recipes?
I don’t cook all that often really, and the stuff I like isn’t really too complex (and mainly consists of either sweetness or melted cheese). The majority of the savoury foods I can cook consist of pasta or rice with sauce. I make a mean variety of sauces. My favourite though is this baked pasta dish where you fry up things like peppers and aubergine with onions, and then mix with a tin of tomatoes. You then add some cooked pasta and chunks of chorizo and mix it all up, then put it in a baking dish with a bit of cheese on top and cook in the oven until it’s all warm and melted. I also like toasting bread, then spreading it with a layer of cranberry sauce, and then slices of goats cheese, before toasting it under the grill until melted. I love cranberry sauce so much. I also like to bake, as it is awesome stress relief for me. Honey biscuits are a favourite of mine They’re a recipe is from this illustrated children’s book we have. They’re basically cookies with some honey in the mix, then rolled in a mix of cinnamon and sugar. Yeah, I like my food a whole lot.
