So, on Saturday it was the last episode of Doctor Who and the first of Merlin. My brain couldn't quite handle switching gears bewteen the two, but nonetheless, here are my thoughts.

Doctor Who - I enjoyed it, I really did, but there's definitely a but in there too. I just felt that there weren't quite enough answers. I wanted a bit more to be resolved, although I honestly have no idea how. I did absolutely love the alternate world which was created and how everything was all smushed up together. Cars dangling from hot air balloons! Trains through the gherkin! I also really enjoyed Amy killing Kovarian, yes it was kind of malicious but I thought it felt appropriate for Amy in the circumstances.

Merlin - It's darker this year, which was kind of amusing. Also, fractionally more subtle. I spent a fair bit of time yelling at the uncle (whose name I didn't quite catch) to smirk when anyone else looked away. Although, even without the smirking, it was fairly obvious that he wasn't going to be a good guy. Really enjoying all the knights, in particular having Lancelot around to share Merlin's secret. I wasn't expecting a two parter though, but it was a nice surprise. Also, this week's episode had Inspector Lynley and Connie from Spooks in it. I will never get tired of spotting actors I know from when show in another. Murder mysteries are the best for this.

Also, last week's episode of The Body Farm was partly filmed in a pub I have been to several time. They had the menu blackboards and everything! But damn, they do a good prawn curry there.
