Snowflake Challenge 2015 - Days 6 and 7

Day 6
In your own space, create a fanwork. A drabble, a ficlet, a podfic, or an icon, art or meta or a rec list. A picspam. Something. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
I am currently working on a 6000 word essay for uni and am a bit burnt out on that. So hopefully I will come back to this some other day! Unless I can figure out how to make a fanwork about the art of medieval death...
Day 7
In your own space, share your love for a trope, cliché, kink, motif, or theme. (More than one is okay, too.) Tell us about it, tell us why you love it, give us some examples and recs. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
I love all sorts of tropes and things. But I will talk about a few here!
Vampires - I will read any fic pretty much for vampires. Anything. I only realised this recently actually but I will genuinely read anything. It's one of those themes in fic where every so often I will just want vampire fic. I don't know why.
Soulbonds/soulmates - whether this is a relationship which is romantic or friendship or doesn't work out or people defying the rules of soulmates. Yup. And people believing they're perfect for each other but still having to work to make the relationship work.
Magical realism - I am always here for this. Magic which just slots in everyday. Magic which is just fundamentally part of the world. And it not being odd at all. MAGICAL REALISM.

Date: 2015-01-08 02:02 am (UTC)I've been into vampires WAY before Twilight tried to make them cute and I wish there were more vamp AUs.

Date: 2015-01-08 02:21 pm (UTC)I have read a worringly large number of not very good vampire novels which I borrowed from the library...
I have been so bad at bookmarking stuff recently! Because I wanted to rec things for this but my pinboard is super out of date. I'm hoping to try and fix that once this current bit of work is done!
