I hope this yuletide finds you well, and happy with your assignment! I would be so stoked to get fic for any of these fandoms. I love them all.
As per my signup, my do not wants are: suicide, self-harm, mental health issues and pregnancy.
Now, moving on to some things I do like! I am all about the happy endings - angst and drama along the way are completely fine, but I do like things to end positively. I am a sucker for a found family and people finding their people. I’d be happy to receive in canon or au fic for all of these fandoms. I just really love all of the characters in these fandoms. I like genfic and teamfic and porny fic, but mostly I love people having feelings (and people having feelings together). I love adventures and plot, but I also love introspection and stories where nothing happens other than thoughts and feelings. Also, and I feel this is potentially appropriate for all of these fandoms, I do love shenanigans and ridiculousness, if you feel like going down that sort of path! I'm quite happy with AUs or canon fic - I think the most important thing for me in these fandoms is keeping the relationship dynamics the same, regardless of where you set them!
Basically, any stories in any of these fandoms would make me very happy.

Albert Campion - Margery Allingham
Requested Characters - Albert Campion, Maggersfontein Lugg
A fundamental truth of my life is that I love murder mysteries, and pretty much always have. I was raised on a steady diet of Agatha Christie. I didn't know about Albert Campion until a few years ago when one episode was on tv (I think it was Sweet Danger) and I fell in love. I loved Albert from the get go and was absolutely charmed by Lugg. I adored how rambunctious Amanda was. I pretty quickly tracked down the whole series on dvd and watched them all. From there, I started to track down the books in the series which my local library had, and then to my absolute joy they started to reprint some of them as well. I tend to like the books which are more fun and whimsical, rather than those which are more dark and gritty ones (I'm thinking of those more in the vein of The Tiger in the Smoke, rather than the earlier stories and those which got adapted into the tv series). I find Campion fascinating – the way he hides his intelligence behind such a bland face. I adore the way Peter Davison portrayed him. I love all the little hints about who Campion really is. There’s so much about him which is left unsaid, which could be great fodder for a fic in my opinion. I also really like Lugg – he is in my opinion the perfect companion and foil for Campion. He’s so gruff and unlike a proper polished butler with his manners, attitude and criminal history. Their relationship endlessly amuses and fascinated me. They're the two characters I've specifically requested because I definitely want to see the pair of them, but others are more than welcome too! I love Amanda and her enthusiasm and her engines. What kind of antics might she get up to? I love Val and the hints she provides to who Campion is. I really enjoy the relationships between all the characters, so anything about that would be wonderful. Alternatively, casefic or something to accompany a case from the existing canon, or maybe something about their background, or even a straight up character study!
The Mrs Bradley Mysteries (TV)
Requested Characters - Adela Bradley, George Moody
Just like Campion, I happened to see an episode of this repeated on tv (Speedy Death) I believe, and watched the whole thing going "this is perfectly my thing." I adored Adela from the start. She is absolutely wonderful. And so, I immediately tracked down the rest of the episodes on dvd! And what with it only being 5 episodes, it didn't really take me that long to watch all of it. I love the way Adela approaches crimes and thinks about things so precisely and scientifically. I also love her forthrightness, cynicism, sense of humour and strong opinions. She is the kind of glamourous woman I long to be in the future (and yet will probably never be). She has some rather progressive for the time views and I think that could be something interesting to explore. Another thing I am really interested in is the relationship between Adela and George. I am firmly of the opinion that something is going on between them, but if that’s not your bag, exploring their relationship without a sexual or romantic slant would also interest me. If that is your thing however, please go for it and I would totally be happy with fic about their relationship, explicit and porny or not. Adela and George are the two characters I've specifically requested because I definitely want to see the pair of them, but others are more than welcome too! Again, this is a fandom where I'm interested in the relationships between the characters and their histories, the things implied and left unsaid. I also just really love how comfortable George and Adela's relationship is? I get the strong impression that they know where they stand with each other. How did that happen? How does that play into their relationship now? I also have lots of thoughts about how Adela (and by extension George) navigate "society" and if Adela even really cares about such things. How does Inspector Christmas view Adela and George, does he cause tension between them or do they not care what he (or anyone else) thinks? What do other people think of them? If you're feeling shippy, these questions could look at Adela/George, and if you're not, they could focus more on Adela as a divorced woman of some standing negotiating solving crime. I think there's some interesting stuff about how she doesn't seem to care about a lot of those things, but how she still sort of conforms. Again, this would be a fandom where casefic or a side story to one of the existing stories could be great. There are so many options in my opinion and I would love to see more fic.
Ghosts (TV 2019)
Requested Characters - Any
This show very quickly became my happy place this year. I'm a huge fan of the original series of Horrible Histories and their cast so I knew I had to watch it, and I was delighted. I love all these fools.It's just ridiculous and charming. Mike and Alison are adorable and I love their relationship. All the ghosts are wonderful. Lady Fanny is hilarious. Thomas is just the perfect character for Mat Baynton. Kitty is pure embodied sunshine. I love how Robin is so fucking clever. I just want the Captain to be happy. I just want to give Pat a hug. Mary always makes me smile. I even kind of like Julian. I also really love the running but about the medieval plague pit in the basement - but that's probably my medieval bias showing. I think the thing I love most about it is the whole found family feeling to it. These oddballs have been flung together, and for the ghosts are stuck with each other for eternity. And then you add Alison and Mike into the mix. This show is ripe for shenanigans. Some thoughts and ideas for what kind of thing you could write - a little slice of life (and death) at Button Hall. What would happen if the ghosts of Button Hall met other ghosts - maybe a ghost could come and visit via haunted car or something! What happens if the basement ghosts and the "upstairs" ghosts interact some more? Now that the ghosts have discovered Friends - is there any other modern media they get super into, either individually or as a group? How do the continued repairs on the Hall go? Are Mike and Alison (and the ghosts maybe) going to have to engage in shenanigans to raise money to save the Hall? What's the fallout from the discovery of the plague pit? Maybe an archaeological dig comes in and causes antics! I suppose you could even frame it as an archaeological report if you wanted to! How does the Captain cope with his growing realisations about his sexuality? Do Kitty and Alison have a girls night together? Does anyone give Robin a decent game of chess? I think my favourite thing about this is just the relationships between all of them. I can't figure out how an AU of this one would work, because of how much the ghost's personalities are connected to the time period they're from - but if you can figure it out, go for it!
