Day 2
In your own space, promote three communities, challenges, blogs, pages, Twitters, Tumblrs or platforms and explain why you love them.
nealeatsalone - it's a hockey twitter. It just makes me smile.
podficlove on tumblr. I am getting progressively worse at checking dreamwidth for new podfics and having something to follow on tumblr which recs podfic is really useful for me.
medievalpoc on tumblr. Really interesting! Has really helped me with the art history module I did last term. Some of the issues it raises are fairly US centric though, just as a note.
Day 3
In your own space, post a rec for at least three fanworks that you did not create. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so. See if you can rec fanworks that are less likely to be praised: tiny fandoms, rare pairings, fanworks other than stories, lesser-known kinks or tropes. Find fanworks that have few to no comments, or creators new to a particular fandom who maybe aren't well known or appreciated. Appreciate them.
podfic of Gnomon by Luchia read by Rhowanna - this is a wip with the first 2 chapters recorded and it is so so good. Seriously, so good. I just want to go gush at R about it all the time. I am trying to restrain myself.
history women on tumblr. It's little bits of art and write ups about historical ladies!
a manuscript inspired by the Old Kingdom series by Garth Nix. Medieval style manuscript fanart!
Day 6
In your own space, share a book/song/movie/tv show/fanwork/etc that changed your life. Something that impacted on your consciousness in a way that left its mark on your soul. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
I went and stared at my 2 bookcases for a while when I saw this question. Because books. And there are so many books I could talk about here which touched me in some way. But yeah. The Stravaganza Series by Mary Hoffman. It's a series of books about teenagers who are all unhappy in some way who end up being able to travel to Italy in a parrallel world during the Renaissance. And just. I am so bad at articulating stuff. But I love those books. And I think that's where my love for magic and science being sort of one and the same comes from. I got the first one out of the library and I remember being 11 and reading the prologue aloud to two of my friends. And yeah. I love them. Also, Arianna, who is introduced in the first book and reappears in other ones, is really awesome.
Day 8
In your own space, create a love>meme for yourself. Let people tell you how amazing and awesome and loveable you really are. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so. Surf the comments and find people to give love to.
I guess this can be here???
