So what have you been up to?

I am trying to enjoy my summer at the moment. I've got a lot of time off. Trying to find stuff to fill it with. I spent a week working at my local county council archives which was fascinating and I really enjoyed.

Major life changes? Same old same old?

I graduated from uni. That's the main thing. I'm going back in September to do my masters in Medieval and Early Modern Studies. It's at the same uni and I'm leaving in the same house, but I'm still nervous.

What fandom are you in/do you spend most of your time in?

Probably Les Mis? But I'm still in other fandoms and doing other stuff. I am in a lot of fandoms.

Where do you hang out online?

Twitter and tumblr! I try to check dw when I remember though.

What are you reading?

Fic mainly! Apart from that, I'm reading the Demon's Lexicon series which I'm enjoying, and rereading Maskerade.

What are you watching?

Sports. Does sport count? Because I have been watching so much sport.

What are you making?

I have been marbling paper! I now have a bunch of marbled paper and am not entirely sure what to do with it. Suggestions welcome!

What are you squeeing about today?

Today has not been a particularly squeeful day, so nothing.

If you could rope old fandom friends into a new fandom, it would be.....

I don't know!

I should really watch/read/dive into _______ and then come talk to you about it!

Again, I don't know. Actually, wait, Bake Off. Everyone ever should watch the Great British Bake Off!

What else is on your mind?

I am kind of really anxious today. And I've been watching The Ashes, which we are not doing great in today. And now I am watching Mastermind.

Every year I've done Snowflake, I've fallen behind during the second week of the challenge. So these are late but there's no deadline for Snowflake so it's all good :) I will try to finish the rest of the challenge soon!

Fandom's generosity. How wonderfully giving everyone is with their time and money and imagination. Just. It continues to surprise me and makes me feel warm. From creating fanworks for other people to kickstarting cons to someone offering a hug on twitter. Yeah.

Stretch yourself a little and try something new. Go play in a new fandom or with a new pairing. Try working in a new medium. Or check out some fanworks that are new to you. (The recs from Day 1 might be a good place to start!) Leave a comment in this post saying you did it.

I will try to do this asap! Bar last proof reading and submitting, I've finished my essay so I can now do fannish things guilt free! Or at least, with a bit less guilt. Technically I should now start my dissertation...

Now on to more positive things! The main thing is I love stories and having stories read to me is even better. I love ladies, I love fluff, I love AUs, I love angst as long as there's a happy ending, I love exploring characters, I love silliness, I love puns. I ship pretty much anything. I love romance and I love sex and I love gen and I love friendship in stories. To be completely honest I mainly just love podfic. I don't know if any of that will help, but there it is!
